Devon Caters

Devon Avenue · Chicago

The street that feeds every shaadi, under one booking.

Devon Caters is a collective of kitchens from Chicago's Devon Avenue. One inquiry reaches the whole street: biryani from the daig specialists, kebabs from the grill houses, mithai from the sweet shops — coordinated as a single order for your wedding, valima, dholki, or aqiqah.

What the street cooks

Trays and daigs, the way Devon has always sold them.

Desi catering isn't plated courses — it's trays that feed tables and daigs that feed halls. These are the formats our member kitchens quote in, so your order reads the way the food is actually made.

Biryani by the daig
Chicken, goat, or beef biryani cooked in the traditional pot. Quoted by the half or full daig, sealed and delivered hot.
half daig ≈ 50 · full ≈ 100
Kebab & grill platters
Seekh kebab, chicken tikka, boti, chapli — off the same grills the street runs nightly, with chutneys and naan counted per guest.
full tray ≈ 25 guests
Curry & karahi trays
Nihari, haleem, chicken karahi, daal, mixed sabzi — the handi dishes that anchor a buffet line, with rice or naan.
full tray ≈ 25 guests
Mithai & dessert trays
Gulab jamun, barfi, ras malai, kheer — boxed for favors or trayed for the dessert table, from the street's sweet shops.

Chai & samosa service
Doodh patti in urns with samosas, pakoras, and dahi bhalla — the mehndi-night and nikah-reception staple.

The collective

One street, one standard, one order.

Families already know Devon Avenue is where you cater a desi event. What's hard is the phone marathon: one call for the biryani, another for the grill, a third for mithai, and nobody coordinating delivery times to the hall.

Devon Caters replaces that with a single inquiry. We're forming the founding collective now — member kitchens agree to shared delivery windows, written per-tray pricing, and zabiha sourcing stated on every quote.

We list memberships honestly: the roster below shows which seats are filled and which are still open. No kitchen appears here before its agreement is signed.
